Celebrate Pokémon Regional Weekend in Houston
Pokémon Regional Weekend Events in Houston at Neil’s Bahr
TCG, VGC, and Pokémon GO Trainers Welcome
Pokémon trainers from across the country will be traveling to Houston, Texas from March 20 to March 22 for the upcoming Pokémon Regional Championships taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Competitors will be battling across multiple Pokémon disciplines including the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC), and Pokémon GO.
For players, collectors, and fans visiting Houston for the event, we are hosting a full weekend of Pokémon community events at Neil's Bahr, a nerdy dive bar located only about 1.5 miles from the convention center. The drive takes roughly 7 minutes, making it a quick and affordable rideshare after a long day of battles and competition.
Whether you are a TCG collector, VGC player, Pokémon GO trainer, or simply a Pokémon fan, our Victory Road Regional Weekend events are designed to give trainers a place to relax, connect with the community, and celebrate Pokémon together.
Friday – Michi Binder Showcase
A Pokémon TCG Collector Showcase
Friday night highlights one of the most creative parts of the Pokémon Trading Card Game hobby: binder collecting and presentation.
The Michi Binder Showcase is a collector competition where participants present their Pokémon TCG binders to judges and spectators. Inspired by the Michi Method of binder organization, the showcase focuses on layout design, storytelling, creativity, and presentation, rather than the monetary value of the cards.
Participants will have 60 seconds to explain the theme and design of their binder before judges deliberate on the winners.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top binders.
Collectors who would like to participate can register in advance using our sign-up form, which helps us organize the event and ensure everyone gets a chance to present.
Sign up for the Michi Binder Showcase!
Even if you are not entering a binder, this event is a great opportunity to see some incredible Pokémon TCG collections and meet fellow collectors.
Saturday – Pokémon Stadium Mini Game Tournaments
Retro Pokémon Video Game Competition
Saturday night brings retro Pokémon video game competition to the bar with Pokémon Stadium 1 and Pokémon Stadium 2 mini game tournaments.
These classic Nintendo 64 games feature fast-paced mini games that are perfect for friendly competition and crowd participation.
Two tournaments will be hosted during the evening, and each tournament winner will receive a $50 cash prize.
If you are a VGC player competing at the Regional Championships, this is a fun way to unwind after a long day of competitive Pokémon battles.
Sunday – Pokémon Trade Night
Connect With the Pokémon TCG Community
To wrap up the weekend, we are hosting a Pokémon Trade Night on Sunday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Collectors are encouraged to bring their friends and their Pokémon card binders
Trade nights are a great way to meet other collectors, complete sets, and discover cards you may have been searching for.
Many Pokémon TCG players attending Regionals enjoy relaxing with the community after the final rounds of competition, making Sunday trade night the perfect closing event for the weekend.
